The following briefly describes the application and the necessary Public Approvals. A virtual/telephonic public hearing is tentatively scheduled for November 18, 2025 at 12:00 PM before the Renton Hearing Examiner by means of the Zoom video conferencing web application which includes a phone-in option to consider the following petition. The public is highly encouraged to attend the meeting by using one of the methods listed below. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The applicant is requesting a Hearing Examiner Conditional Use Permit to convert the existing single-family residence into a religious facility. The tenant received a notice of violation for the change of use without appropriate permits on September 12, 2018 (CODE18-000021). The existing single-family home along with a detached structure that was converted into a living space (PR22-0000208, B24002581) sits on a lot approximately 38,134 square foot in size and is located within the Residential-14 (R-14) zoning district and Residential High Density (RHD) land use designation. Primary vehicular access to the site will continue to be gained from a driveway cut off SE Petrovitsky Rd. The proposal will include remodeling the building interior into a worship hall, adding architectural features and a ramp to the building exterior, as well as constructing an associated parking lot. No trees are proposed for removal. According to City of Renton (COR) Maps, the site is impacted by regulated slopes on the northeast corner of the site. A Trip Generation Analysis was submitted with the application.
