THE CONTRACT IS MODIFIED AS FOLLOWS:
Description of Change:
In accordance with Field Work Directive No. 2, the contract requirements for the
project's pavement markings have been revised. All pavement marking materials
installed will now be Type D -Liquid Cold Applied Methyl Methacrylate, as specified in
Section 9-34.1.
Proposal Schedule of Prices: Add the following to schedule A
1-12 PLASTIC STOP LINE, 401LF@ $21.00 = $8,421
1-13 PLASTIC CROSSWALK LINE, 875 SF @$15 = $13,125
1-14 PLASTIC DO NOT BLOCK INTERSECTION MARKING, 1 EA
1-15 PLASTIC TRAFFIC ARROW, 6 EA @$750 = $4,500

Description: Type D - Liquid Cold Applied Methyl Methacrylate per section 9-34.1
Measurement: Add the following Section 9-34.1:
"PLASTIC STOP LINE" shall be measured per LF of installed pavement marking.
"PLASTIC CROSSWALK LINE" shall be measured per square foot of installed crosswalk line.
"PLASTIC DO NOT BLOCK INTERSECTION MARKING" shall be measured per EACH installed
pavement marking symbol.
"PLASTIC TRAFFIC ARROW" shall be measured per EACH installed pavement marking symbol.
Payment: Add the following Section 9-34.1:
"PLASTIC STOP LINE", LF.
"PLASTIC CROSSWALK LINE" 1 square foot.
"PLASTIC DO NOT BLOCK INTERSECTION MARKING", per EACH.
"PLASTIC TRAFFIC ARROW per EACH.
Materials: Type D - Liquid Cold Applied Methyl Methacrylate per section 9-34.1
Plans: NO CHANGE.
Reason for Change: Due to lower temperatures during the winter months, the City authorized
the use of Type D Liquid Cold Applied Methyl Methacrylate to allow for the installation of

pavement channelization. This material was chosen for its superior performance characteristics,
including its ability to be applied in colder weather conditions, ensuring that the project can
proceed on schedule without compromising the durability or retro reflectivity of the fin al
markings.
Equitable Adjustment: This Change Order does include an equitable adjustment per Section
1-09.4 of the 2024 WSDOT/APWA Standard Specifications. See attached.

Sections 1-04.4 and 1-04.S of the 2024 WSDOT / APWA Standard Specifications shall govern --------
this Change Order. The Work of the referenced Contract is modified to include the changes
detailed herein. The payment provided for herein shall constitute the complete and final
settlement for all costs of labor, equipment, materials, overhead, profit, permit fees, and all
other claims that may be made by the Contractor as a result of this change.
