4.CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN AND PAY FOR NECESSARY PERMITS TO EXECUTE DEMOLITION, INCLUDING PERMIT TO USE PUBLIC WATER
SUPPLY FOR DUST SUPPRESSION.
5.CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIAN REROUTES AND CONTROL AS NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THE WORK, AND
OBTAIN APPROVAL FROM THE CITY PRIOR TO BEGINNING WORK.
6.CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PREVENTING SEDIMENT AND SEDIMENT-LADEN RUNOFF FROM LEAVING THE SITE AND SHALL
INSTALL, MAINTAIN, AND UPGRADE EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL (ESC) FACILITIES AND BMPS AS NECESSARY TO ADDRESS FIELD
CONDITIONS, STORM EVENTS, AND THE PROGRESSION OF WORK DURING THE CONSTRUCTION PERIOD. THE ESC FACILITIES SHOWN ON
THE PLANS ARE THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ANTICIPATED SITE CONDITIONS; THESE MEASURES SHALL BE AMENDED,
RELOCATED, AND/OR UPGRADED AS NEEDED, INCLUDING THE ADDITION OF PUMPS IF NECESSARY, TO PREVENT SEDIMENT AND
SEDIMENT-LADEN WATER FROM LEAVING THE SITE AND TO PREVENT EROSION AND DAMAGE TO SUBGRADE. ALL EROSION AND
SEDIMENT CONTROL MEASURES SHALL BE INSTALLED AND MAINTAINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH COR REQUIREMENTS.
7.FENCE LIMITS SHOWN ARE APPROXIMATE AND SHALL BE ADJUSTED AS NECESSARY FOR THE CONTRACTOR TO ACCOMPLISH THE
WORK. PREVENT DISTURBANCE AND DAMAGE BEYOND THE LIMITS OF WORK.
8.STORMWATER RUNOFF AND DEWATERING FLOWS, IF GENERATED, SHALL BE DIRECTED TO TEMPORARY PUMPS FOR CONVEYANCE TO
TREATMENT SYSTEM. CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD LOCATE AND SIZE PUMPS TO ACCOMMODATE FLOWS ENCOUNTERED. CONTRACTOR
SHALL SUPPLY BACKUP PUMPS AS NEEDED.
9.FOR THE CATCH BASINS THAT ARE TO BE REMOVED, PROVIDE CATCH BASIN/INLET PROTECTION UP UNTIL THEY ARE REMOVED.
10.CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE COVER AND CONTAINMENT TO PROTECT DOWNSTREAM SYSTEMS AND SOILS FROM POLLUTANTS
GENERATED DURING, AND AS A RESULT OF CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES, AND PREVENT SEDIMENT AND POLLUTANTS FROM LEAVING THE
SITE.
11.ALL TEMPORARY STOCKPILES, CUT SLOPES, AND FILL SLOPES SHALL BE PROTECTED WITH PLASTIC SHEETING, UNLESS STABILIZED BY
OTHER APPROVED METHODS.
12.REMOVE AND DISPOSE OF ALL TESC MEASURES AT THE COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT WHEN ALL DISTURBED AREAS HAVE BEEN FULLY
STABILIZED IN FINAL CONDITION.
13.CITY STREETS AND SIDEWALKS SHALL BE KEPT CLEAN AT ALL TIMES. MATERIAL SHALL NOT BE STORED WITHIN THE RIGHT-OF-WAY, ON
CITY STREETS OR SIDEWALKS WITHOUT A STREET USE PERMIT FROM THE COR.
14.DEMOLITION SHALL BE IN CONFORMANCE WITH APPLICABLE REGULATIONS, CODES, AND DEMOLITION PERMIT REQUIREMENTS.
15.CONTRACTOR SHALL DISPOSE OF EXCESS DEMOLITION MATERIAL OFF-SITE IN A SAFE AND LEGAL MANNER IN ACCORDANCE WITH
APPLICABLE JURISDICTIONS.
16.MAKE VERTICAL SAWCUTS BETWEEN ALL EXISTING PAVEMENT TO REMAIN AND THE PORTION TO BE REMOVED AND PROTECT
PAVEMENT TO REMAIN. REPLACE ANY DAMAGED IMPROVEMENTS IN KIND. PRIOR TO SAWCUTTING, CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT A
CUTTING AND JOINTING PLAN FOR ALL PAVEMENT BEING DISTURBED.
17.ANY DAMAGE RESULTING FROM PROJECT CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES TO EXISTING IMPROVEMENTS OR VEGETATION OUTSIDE OF WORK
INDICATED ON PLAN SHALL BE REPAIRED/REPLACED IN KIND AT CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE AND IN A TIME FRAME DICTATED BY THE
OWNER.
18.IF EXISTING IMPROVEMENTS ARE DISTURBED WITHIN THE RIGHT-OF-WAY BY CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY, REPLACE PER COR STANDARDS
AND PROJECT PLANS AT CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE.
19.CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH ALL AFFECTED UTILITY PROVIDERS AND CITY TO CONFIRM SYSTEMS ARE NOT ENERGIZED, TO
KEEP ADJOINING PROPERTY SERVICES UNINTERRUPTED, AND TO PERFORM DEMOLITION ACTIVITIES IN ACCORDANCE TO APPLICABLE
STANDARDS.
20.REMOVE STRIPING ON REMAINING EXISTING PAVEMENT TO INSTALL FULL EXTENTS OF PROPOSED STRIPING AS INDICATED ON PLANS.
REMOVAL OF EXISTING STRIPING SHALL NEGATIVELY IMPACTING EXISTING PAVEMENT TO REMAIN.
21.CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH OWNER FOR EXISTING ITEMS TO BE SALVAGED. SALVAGED ITEMS SHALL BE PROTECTED AND
