1. ALL EXISTING TRANSPORTATION INFRASTRUCTURE FEATURES SHALL BE MAINTAINED ON LEVEL
GRADE IF THE SURFACE LEVEL FROM CONSTRUCTION IS CHANGED (I. E. JUNCTION BOXES,
LUMINAIRE POLES, TRAFFIC SIGNAL POLES, SIGN POSTS).
2. ALL TRANSPORTATION INFRASTRUCTURE SHALL BE PROVIDED ON LEVEL GRADE ONCE
CONSTRUCTION IS COMPLETE.
3. ALL EXISTING OR PROPOSED TRANSPORTATION INFRASTRUCTURE FEATURES WITHIN THE PROJECT
CONSTRUCTION LIMITS SHALL MEET CURRENT PROWAG ADA STANDARDS (I.E. JUNCTION BOXES
SHALL HAVE NON-SKID LIDS).
4. ALL NEW TRAFFIC SIGNALS SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED WITH FIBER COMMUNICATION CONNECTION
TO CITY OF RENTON TRANSPORTATION FIBER OPTIC NETWORK.
5. ALL TRANSPORTATION INFRASTRUCTURE FEATURES THAT ARE TO BE REMOVED AND REINSTALLED
AT A LATER DATE SHALL BE RE -INSTALLED TO CURRENT STANDARDS.
6. ALL CONDUIT SHALL BE PVC SCHEDULE 80.
7. SIGNAL POLE, LUMINAIRE, AND CABINET FOUNDATIONS SHALL BE CLASS 4000P CONCRETE.
8. ALL PROPOSED SIGNAL POLE FOUNDATIONS AND EXISTING MODIFIED SIGNAL POLE FOUNDATIONS
SHALL INCLUDE A CONCRETE PAD AROUND THE FOUNDATION. PROPOSED OR EXISTING SIDEWALK
SHALL BE CONSIDERED PART OF THE FOUNDATION PAD. FOUNDATION PAD SHALL BE AT LEAST
2 FEET OFFSET FROM THE SIGNAL POLE FOUNDATION, AS SPACE ALLOWS OR UNLESS
OTHERWISE APPROVED.
9. WHEN THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL IS OPERATIONAL, ALL DETECTION SHALL BE MAINTAINED AND REMAIN
FUNCTIONAL FOR ALL SIGNAL PHASES. NEW PERMANENT/TEMPORARY VIDEO DETECTION SHALL
BE INSTALLED AND OPERATIONAL PRIOR TO DESTROYING ANY EXISTING DETECTION.
10. ALL TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEMS, ILLUMINATION SYSTEMS, OR OTHER ELECTRICAL TRANSPORTATION
SYSTEMS ARE SUBJECT TO INSPECTION BY CITY OF RENTON PUBLIC WORKS/TRANSPORTATION
MAINTENANCE PRIOR TO FINAL ACCEPTANCE. CONTRACTOR TO COORDINATE INSPECTION WITH
THE TRANSPORTATION MAINTENANCE MANAGER OR OTHER TRANSPORTATION REPRESENTATIVE.
11. NEW PTZ CAMERA SHALL BE REQUIRED WHEN A NEW TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM IS INSTALLED,
WHEN LANE CONFIGURATION IS MODIFIED WITH NEW SIGNAL PHASING, AND/OR WHEN EXISTING
PTZ CAMERA(S) REQUIRE RELOCATION.
12. ARROW BOARDS SHALL BE REQUIRED TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CONTROL WHEN CLOSING A TRAVEL
LANE AND SHALL BE MUTCD COMPLIANT.
