Case#25-8486
Unless otherwise noted, the following happened within the City Limits of Renton, County of
King, State of Washington.
On 09/30/25 at approximately 1838 hours I was dispatched to take a hit and run report by r hone.
I called the victim,Tina T. Hill(07/25/75)who told me that a 2008 white GMC Acadia
WA/CTB0650 had struck her vehicle, a 2016 Honda Civic WA/CPV8362, while merging lanes on
Sunset Blvd N at around 0611 hours on 09/29/25.
Tina told me that she was driving southbound on Sunset Blvd N in lane 1 getting ready to gc on
the on ramp for 1-405 South.The light at the intersection of Sunset Blvd N and Bronson Way N
had turned red and she began slowing down.The GMC Acadia which was in lane 2 heading
southbound on Sunset Blvd N then tried to merge into lane 1. While merging the front passenger
side of the Acadia struck the rear driver side bumper of Tina's Civic causing minor damage.
Since the light was still red she got out of her car and asked the driver of the Acadia to pull over
so they could exchange information. The driver who she described as a middle aged Hispanic
male with wavy hair kept telling her he did not hit her car. She took a picture of his license plate
and when the light turned green the man drove off without attempting to exchange information.
Tina tried to file a police report online the same day, but then received an email saying that she
must report it in person or on the phone because she had suspect information and the license
plate of the suspect vehicle. I sent Tina and Axon community upload link so that Tina could
upload the pictures of her car and the suspect car.
Based on what Tina told me, if the driver of the GMC Acadia can be identified, there is probable
cause for RCW 46.52.020 Duty in case of personal injury or death or damage to attended vehicle
or other property due to the Acadia hitting Tina's car and then leaving the scene of the accident
without exchanging information.
