QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
1. Question: The bid date states Oct 7th 2025 but the bid opening is Oct 9th 2025. Can you
confirm the bid date?
Answer: Bids are due on Oct 7th, 2025. The bids will not be opened until Oct 9th, 2025.
2. Question: Is there going to be a new bid proposal form updating the changes made or are we
supposed to update without one?
Answer: An updated bid proposal form is provided with Addendum #2.
3. Question: In the Q&A that was sent out, UPOs it talks about that adjustment to the TCPs would
be at the contractor’s option. But the intersections are left open in the TCPs and in reality it
needs to be ground and paved. Flaggers can only flag within roughly 500’ of a lighted
intersection otherwise it needs to be a UPO to control that intersection.
So it isn’t at contractor option. The way the job is laid out UPOs are needed for the work. So
question being is that something that UPOs would be added to the contract via CO later, or is
that only paid for by the other traffic control labor?
Answer: If UPOs are added to the contract during construction, they will be added via change
order.
4. Question: I see that an addendum was issued but I’m not sure I completely understand the
resolution, it sounds like perhaps this is similar to the first option/product I suggested that we
used on the job in Duval, but not the material I sent over yesterday? If I am understanding this
change would allow for the use of brick patterned type B torch down plastic that is flat (without
the stamped grooves), but you are still preferring the actual brick pattern with white borders over
the plain brick red colored flat MMA
Answer: Both described products are eligible to be submitted for review and approval by the
City. The City is open to a range of colors and patterns within the parameters defined, as
approved by the Engineer, as noted in 8-22.3.
