Grady Way Renton, WA 98057 Re Construction Mitigation Description – VIOC Renton To Whom It May Concern, This narrative outlines the proposed construction project located at NE 4th Street & Whitman Court NE. Our intent is focusing on minimizing disruption to the community while ensuring the efficient and timely completion of the project. Please see our response to the specific requested points below: Project Schedule and Operations a. Proposed Construction Dates: We anticipate construction to commence on 4/6/26 and conclude on 10/5/26 for a duration of 182 days b. Hours and Days of Operation: Standard construction activities are planned for Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00P c. Special Hours for Construction or Hauling: At this time, we do not anticipate needing special hours for construction or hauling outside of the standard operating times listed above. Should any such need arise, we will submit a separate request with detailed justification and mitigation plans for the City's review and approval. Hauling and Transportation d. Proposed Hauling/Transportation Routes: All construction-related hauling and transportation will primarily utilize the following routes to minimize impact on residential areas and high-traffic zones: • Specific Route 1: Direct ingress from NE 4th Street, turning right into the site. • Specific Route 2: Direct Egress from Vashon Court NE onto Whitman Court NE to access the light for turning right or left onto NE 4th Street. • Specific Route 3: Direct Ingress and Egress from NE 4th Street, turning right or left onto Whitman Court NE and then turning right onto Vashon Court NE into the site. These routes have been selected to optimize efficiency and direct heavy vehicle traffic for safety purposes. e. Preliminary Traffic Control Plan: A preliminary traffic control plan has been developed to ensure the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians around the construction site and along hauling routes. This plan includes, but is not limited to: • Specific measure 1: Construction Fencing around the site • Specific measure 2: Cones and barricades to delineate construction zones • Specific measure 3: Clear signage alerting drivers and pedestrians to construction activity. A detailed traffic control plan will be submitted as part of our full permit application. August 20, 2017 | Page 2 Impact Mitigation Measures f. Measures to be Implemented to Minimize Dust, Traffic, and Transportation Impacts, Erosion, Mud, Noise, and Other Noxious Characteristics: We are committed to implementing comprehensive measures to minimize any adverse impacts of construction on the surrounding community. These measures include: • Dust Control: Specific measure: Regular watering of exposed soil and immediate clean-up of any tracked out material. • Traffic and Transportation Impacts: Specific measure: strict adherence to designated hauling routes and maintaining clear access for emergency vehicles. • Erosion and Mud Control: Specific measure: Installation of silt fences and erosion control blankets, timely stabilization of disturbed areas, and street cleanup to prevent mud tracking onto public roads. • Noise Reduction: Specific measure: Utilizing modern, well-maintained equipment with appropriate mufflers, limiting unnecessary idling of vehicles, and ensuring all work adheres to city noise ordinances. • Other Noxious Characteristics (e.g., Odor, debris): Specific measure: Proper disposal of all construction waste, prompt removal of debris, and maintaining a clean and organized construction site. We believe these measures will effectively minimize disruptions and ensure a harmonious relationship with the community throughout the construction period. If any additional mitigation measures are required, please bring them to our attention and we can incorporate them into our implemented measures.
