Violation Note: Mechanical Permit M17002707 was applied for through MyBuildingPermits.com to relocate an existing roof top exhaust for Yummy Juan's Restaurant.The city plan reviewer has some construction concerns and is requesting additional information prior to the work being done and the permit being finaled. Code Text: Roof Top Exhaust Relocation Corrective Action: The grease duct for the type I hood has also been re-located which is going to require some assembly concerns to satisfy section 507 of the International Mechanical Code. Please provide drawings to satisfy the minimum assembly requirements for his mechanical work. Commonly in existing buildings an approved fire wrap is installed around this duct. This fire wrap will require a special inspection to verify that its installation meets the manufacturer's requirements. Incorrectly installed or maintained grease ducts has caused many building fire. This is such a crucial building feature that we have placed the above permit on hold until the required design has been submitted reviewed and approved. A check of permit records on May 22,2018, indicates we have not received the additional information requested to process, inspect and final the mechanical permit.This hood is in violation of city code.
