On 10/7/2025 1 was working as a uniformed patrol officer and driving a marked patrol vehicle for
the City of Renton. I was dispatched to a report of a hit and run which had just occurred in the
400 block of Sunset Blvd N Renton/King/WA. Sophia G Rolfson DOB: 9/2/1997 was calling to
report that someone had struck her white 2024 Honda Civic WA/CLD9300 and fled the scene.
I called Sophia and asked what happened, she said that she was driving south on Sunset Blvd N
and was just north of the 7/11 when a black Honda pulled out of the 7/11 parking lot. Sophia
said that the Honda pulled out of the parking lot bypassed the turn lane and drove directly into
the southbound lane she was in. She said that her front bumper struck the passenger side door
of the black Honda. Sophia said that the suspect vehicle then turned around and fled north on
Sunset Blvd.
Sophia said she was not injured.
Sophia described the suspect driver as a Hispanic male, 20-30 years old, wearing a black
baseball cap. She said that she might be able to recognize again if seen.
Sophia said the suspect vehicle did not have any real license plates on it but she believes that it
may possibly have a temporary tag in the rear window although she did not get a good look at it.
Sophia said that her vehicle was drivable, and she could get it to a body shop.
I checked Flock cameras in the area and was not able to locate a vehicle matching the provided
description in the area.
I forgot to get Sophia's insurance information, she did not answer when I called back.
Without a partial or full license plate or any new suspect information,this case will be closed.
