DLState DLExp Address Primary Phone&Type AdditionalContact Number&Type Additional Contact Number&Type Race Sex DOB- Height Weight Even Hair Collision 2025-00008777 Paqe 2 OF 6 Case Number 2025-00008777 Officer Narrative Narrative ASSIGNMENT/ARRIVAL On 10/10/2025 at approximately 1209 hours, I was dispatched to a two-vehicle collision in the intersection of Lind Avenue SW and SW Grady Way in the city of Renton, King County, Washington. UNIT 1: MERCEDES-BENZ METRIS Upon arrival I observed a black 2016 Mercedes-Benz Metris (WA/ BUY7254, Unit 1)facing south in the northbound lanes of Lind Avenue SW north of SW Grady Way. Members of the Renton Regional Fire Authority were pushing the van out of the intersection. Unit 1 had minor damage to the front-driver fender, hood, bumper, and headlamp assembly. UNIT 2: DODGE RAM 1500 1 observed a white 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 (WA/ D70988C, Unit 2) stopped facing north in the northbound number one (closest to curb) lane of Lind Avenue SW north of SW Grady Way. Unit 2 had minor damage to the front-driver headlamp assembly.The front-driver wheel was dislodged during the collision. DRIVER 1: GRISWOLD,ZEYNEP 1. I contacted Zeynep I. Griswold (DOB: 09/19/1974) near Unit 1. 1 positively identified Griswold by her valid Washington Driver License and established her as the driver of Unit 1 by her admission. Griswold was not injured in the collision. DRIVER 2: GEIGER SHANE A This incident occurred in the sCity of Renton,King County,Washington State. !declare underpenalty of perjury under the laws of the State of Washington that the foregoing is true and correct. Geiger(DOB: 10/29/1987) near Unit 2. 1 positively identified Geiger by his valid Washington Driver License and established him as the driver of Unit 2 by his admission. Geiger was not injured in the collision. PASSENGERS There were two, uninjured passengers in Unit 2. Brittany L. Geiger(DOB: 01/03/1986)was the right-front passenger. Roselea E. Geiger(DOB: 10/28/2024)was the rear-center passenger. Roselea was properly restrained in a child seat. STATEMENT: GEIGER SHANE A I spoke with Shane about the collision.The following is a summary of our conversation: Shane drove Unit 2 north in the number two northbound lane of Lind Avenue SW toward SW Grady Way on a solid green circular traffic signal. Shane saw an uninvolved,white vehicle stopped in the southbound left-turn lane of Lind Avenue SW waiting to turn left (east) onto SW Grady Way. As Unit 2 entered the intersection to proceed straight, Shane saw Unit 1, which was stopped behind the uninvolved white vehicle, drive around the white vehicle, enter the intersection, and begin to turn left (east)toward SW Grady Way. Unit 1's front-driver side collided with Unit 2's front-driver side in the intersection. This concluded my conversation with Shane. Griswold had a very similar version of events. Griswold's action was the proximate cause of the collision, namely her violation of RCW 46.61.185(1), which states: The driver of a vehicle intending to turn to the left within an intersection or into an alley, private road, or driveway shall yield the right-of-way to any vehicle approaching from the opposite direction which is within the intersection or so close thereto as to constitute an immediate hazard. CITATION I authored Griswold a citation (Citation #5A0845674)for a violation of RCW 46.61.185(1) and filed it with the Renton Municipal Court. DISPOSITION Both parties exchanged information.
