EG36323 CASE# 25-7868 OF COLLISION 09/09/25 10:05 OF CbLLI510N NARRATIVE CC 25-7868 On 9/9/2025 at 1054 hours I was dispatched to a hit and run collision at the Home Depot located at 901 S Grady Way in the City of Renton, King County, Washington. Pre-Collision Driver 3 is a uniformed Federal Agent and was attempting to serve an arrest warrant on Driver 1 at the time of incident. Driver 3 positioned Unit 3 in front of Unit 1 to block him and prevent his escape within the parking lot of Home Depot. Driver 2 is a uniformed Federal Agent and was attempting to serve an arrest warrant on Driver 1 at the time of incident. Driver 2 positioned Unit 2 behind Unit 1 to block him and prevent his escape within the parking lot of Home Depot. Driver 1 fled the scene and was unable to provide comment. Collision Driver 3 stated that he was outside of his vehicle and challenging the suspect while attempting to effect an arrest. Driver 3 stated that Driver 1 placed his vehicle in reverse, proceeding to back up and the rear bumper of Unit 1 collided with the front bumper of Unit 2. Driver 3 stated that following this, Driver 1 placed the vehicle in drive and drove around the drivers side of Unit 3. Driver 3 stated that the front passenger side bumper of Unit 1 collided with the rear drivers side bumper of Unit 3. Driver 2 stated that while attempting to arrest Driver 1, Driver 1 placed Unit 1 in reverse and the rear bumper of Unit 1 collided with the front bumper of Unit 2. Driver 2 then stated that Driver 1 placed Unit 1 into drive and maneuvered Unit 1 around the drivers side of Unit 3. In doing so, the front passenger side bumper of Unit 1 collided with the rear drivers side bumper of Unit 3. Driver 1 fled the scene. Injuries None reported. Vehicle Disposition All vehicles were operational. Proximate Cause I determined there to be probable cause to arrest Driver 1 for the crime of Hit and Run Unattended x2 because the operator of any vehicle which collided with any other vehicle which is unattended shall immediately stop and shall then and there either locate and notify the operator or owner of such vehicle of the name and address of the operator and owner of the vehicle striking the unattended vehicle or shall leave in a conspicuous place in the vehicle struck a written notice, giving the name and address of the operator and of the owner of the vehicle striking such other vehicle. I also determined there to be probable cause to arrest Driver 1 for the crime of Reckless Driving because any person who drives any vehicle in willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property is guilty of reckless driving. Driver 1 did this by intentionally driving with a willful and wanton disregard for the safety of persons (Driver 2 and 3) and property (Unit 2 and 3). 1 also determined there to be probable cause to arrest Driver 1 for the crime of Malicious Mischief in the 3rd Degree x2 because Driver 1 knowingly and maliciously causes physical damage to the property of another, under circumstances not amounting to malicious mischief in the first or second degree.
