Remarks:
REINFORCING STEEL:
MTC on site as requested to visually inspect reinforcing steel for the sidewalk / staircase landings for the upper staircase West of
the school.
MTC observed that the sidewalk was reinforced per the following plan details: 3 / F210.
MTC visually inspected the welded wire mesh at the locations noted and observed that the reinforcing steel complied with the
approved project plans and specifications. MTC observed the reinforcing steel size, type, and placement. MTC will verify the final
clearances prior to and during concrete placement.
CONCRETE PLACEMENT: Continuous Inspection
MTC was on site to observe the placement of approximately 20 CY of concrete with Mix Design ID #1250AFG supplied by Miles Plant
#202 into a sidewalk/staircase landings at the locations noted above.
One set of five (4” x 8”) cylinders was cast for compressive strength test specimens. Refer to Report #5249, Set 10 for field test
results and for more information.
Concrete was placed via concrete pump, and was consolidated and finished by hand.
To the best of MTC inspector's knowledge, the abovedescribed work was performed in general accordance with project
specifications and approved plans.
Work in progress. Additional inspection needed.
