SUBJECT: KC South Water Treatment Plant 1200 Monster Rd.
1. The preliminary fire flow requirements is 2,000 gpm. Two fire hydrants are required. One
within 150 feet and one within 300 feet of the proposed buildings. There appears to be one
existing fire hydrant within 150 feet in front of both buildings. However, one new fire hydrant
will be required to be installed within 300 feet of the proposed buildings.
2. The fire impact fees are applicable at the rate of $.14 Cents per square foot. This fee is paid at
building permit issuance. Credit will be given for the removal or retention of the existing
buildings.
3. Fire department apparatus access roadways are adequate.
