Hi Matt and Clark,
I’m requesting an art exemption for a Paint with Purpose mural project downtown, located at 231 Main
Ave S. Here’s the information for the proposed mural:
• Artist Information:
o Shogo Ota, a Seattle-based artist. His portfolio and background are available here:

o The project is being funded by a grant from 4Culture for the Paint with Purpose Program
• Design:
o The selected and RMAC-approved design is attached. Minutes from the September
meeting are attached.
• Location:
o 231 Main Ave S (south-facing wall).

Contract are in place with both the artist and the property owner for participation in the Paint with
Purpose program.
