The following occurred in the City of Renton, King County, Washington unless otherwise stated.
During this incident 1 was equipped with body-worn camera which records both audio and video.
Portions of the incident were recorded. This report is merely a summary of the incident and is not
intended to be an exact transcription of the entire investigation or what may have been captured
with the recording system. During this incident I was wearing a department issued uniform or jump
suit and outer carrier vest which was marked with "Police"both on the front, back, and
department patches on each shoulder of the uniform or jumpsuit, as well as a Renton Police Velcro
badge on my►eft chest. It would be immediately obvious to any reasonable person that I was a
Police Officer.
On 10/16/2025 at 1154 hours I was dispatched to a hit and run report that occurred at around 1605
hours on 10/14/2025 at around the 300 block of Logan Ave N.
I called the victim, identified as Heather B. Speight (DOB: 04/16/1974) and asked what happened.
Speight stated that she was driving her spouses black 2013 Volkswagen Jetta (WA LP: ANC2260)
South on Logan Ave N in the #1 lane approaching N 3rd St. Speight stated that while traveling
Southbound, a yellow 2-door coupe with a WA LP starting with CLN merged from the#2 lane to the
#1 lane, and the passenger side doors of the coupe collided with the front drivers side bumper of
Speight's Jetta, causing minor damage.
Speight stated that the suspect vehicle turned right into the Renton Memorial Stadium and then fled
through the parking lot, back onto Logan Ave N to proceed Northbound at a high rate of speed, in
what appeared to be an obvious attempt to get away.
Speight stated that she would not be able to identify the driver of the suspect vehicle in this case. I
was unable to find a vehicle matching that description per FLOCK during the times Speight stated this
collision occurred.
At this time there are no suspects in this case and the suspect vehicle is still not identified.
This incident occurred in the sCity of Renton,King County,Washington State.
