Dear Mr. Gonnason:
I am the president of Harmony Homes, Inc. and am in the process of
liquidating its assets so that the corporation can be dissolved. The
corporation is *he owner of the following described property:
Lots 17, 18, 19, 20, 26, 27, 28 and 29 ir. the Plat of Sierra
Terrace, Division No. 1, King County, Washington.
Mr. Houghton, Renton City Engineer, has given me some information )ver
the telephone but suggested that 1 communicate with you. The above
property was acquired by Harmony Homes prior to annexation of Sierra
Terrace to the City of Renton. I am informed that at the time of
annexation the Count, turn<d over to the City a $4,500.00 cash bond to
guarantee completion of plat improvements. Subsequently, this cash
deposit was transferred to the City Water Fund to assure completion of
the water lines.
Harmony Homes has been trying for a long time to sell these lots. The
corporation is not in a position to proceed with plat developments.
I am hopeful of selling these lots to a developer at an attractive
price so that he can exercise his judgment as to the proper time for
completing the development. It will be a valuable asset for such a
bityer and an incentive for him to buy if I can represent that the City
is holding a cash deposit of $4,500.00 which will be made available
for completion of the water lines or will be released to the owner
upon sat'sfactory proof that the water lines have been installed.
I will appreciate a letter from the City of Renton confirming the
existence of the deposit and the conditions under which it will be used
or released.
