The Grantor , UNITED STATES Or AMERICA, Department of the Interior, acting
`^ by and throu.h the Bonneville Power Administrator, pursuant to the Act of Congress `
approved August 20, 1937 (50 Stat. 731, 16 U.S.C. 832a, et sea,) as amended, and
June 30, 1949 (i3 Stat. 377, 40 U.S._ 471, et seq.) as amended, and delegations
of authority issued pursuant thereto, ,,,r and in consideration of the sun of
711REE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($300.00) does hereby remise, release and quitclaim unto the
s CITY OF RENT01, its succonsors and assigns, an easement for a 12-inch water line s
over and across the United States Department of the Interior, Bonneville Power
Administrationts fee-owned M.nple Valley Substation Site, being more Iotrtic,,rlarly
described as follows:
A strip of land 20 feet in width over and across the United
States Borureville Power Administrationts ),L,ple Valley Substation
Site, being a part of the NRySEtq of Section 20, and the v*,d1SJ}
and the S;ffW1 of Section 21 , Township 23 North, Range 5 East,
W. M., King County, Washington, the boundaries of said strip lying
10 feet from, on each side of, and parallel with a line described
as follows:
Beginning at a point in .he westerly boundary of the United
States Bonneville Power Administration's )+aple Valley Substation
Site, N. 4.5° 071 5011 V. 70.6 feet from the most westerly south
corner of said Site, saia corner being S. 1" 510 30" W. 252.1
feet from the quarter section corner eomnon to Sections 20 and 21,
Township 23 North, Range 5 Fast, W. M.; thence N. 420 05t 3011 E.
970.8 feet to a point in the easterly line of said Site, N. 340
50 30" W. 10.3 feet from the most easterly corner of said Site.
Subject to the rights of Olympic Pipe Line Cempany to an
easement for a 16-inch products l,ipe line and to the rights of
the Puget Sound Power & Light Company to a permit for a power line.
Reserving unto the UNITED STATES OF AMBI(7CA, and its assit7rs, the rig)rt to
erect ar•1 maintain one or more electric transmission lines over the easement aren,
but wit)•mut a,,y supporting structure or structures located in the easenent area.
It is tarderstood and agreed that the CITY OF PJ2ITON shall be liable for any
dam+.ge to the property of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, including transmission lines
and structures, arising out of or resultinn f am acts of the City of Renton's employeep
or agents acting within their authority in construction, reconstruction, or maintenan a'
of said water .lii.e upon the property of the UNITED STATES OF AMSRICA.
