The City of Renton invites interested and qualified contractors to submit sealed bids for the following project:
TITLE: Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park Structural Repairs
ESTIMATED BASE BID COST RANGE: $2,100,000-$2,200,000
SUBMITTAL TIME/DATE/LOCATION: Prior to 10 A.M.,27 June,2018 at the
Office of the City Clerk

Public Bid Opening will commence at approximately 10:10 A.M.in
Room 621,Sixth Floor.
PRE-BID CONFERENCE: 10:00 A.M.18 June,2018 at Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park,
1201 Lake Washington Boulevard North, Renton,WA,98056
Meet outside of Ivar's Restaurant.
Attendance at the pre-bid conference and site walk-through is
highly encouraged but is not mandatory. An opportunity to look at
a section of Ivar's deck substructure will be available.
The work,to be substantially completed within 270 calendar days from the date of commencement under this contract shall include,but
not be limited to: 1) Ivar's Deck: Remove substructure steel beams and timber decking,replace with galvanized beams and install
grated decking;2) Day Moorage Float: Remove existing timber float and install aluminum float;3)North Waterwalk and Ivar's Deck
Wave Skirts: Remove and replace a portion of the removed treated wood skirts with non-toxic material.4)Boat Launch: Remove and
replace substructure steel beams;5)South Waterwalk: Replace missing grout around concrete waterwalk superstructure and pile
foundation system;6)Boat Launch Wave Break: Replace a portion existing timber with non-toxic material;7)Sailing Club Float: Repair
float hinge,add railing and floatation material;8)Trestle Bridge: Repair timber substructure.
Bid documents will be available Wednesday,6 June 2018. Plans and specifications may be viewed at Builder's Exchange of
Washington.Free-of-charge access to project bid documents(plans,specifications,addenda,and Bidders List)is provided to Prime
Bidders,Subcontractors,and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and clicking on"Posted Projects", "Public Works",and"City of
Renton".This online plan room provides Bidders with fully usable online documents with the ability to:download,view,print,order
full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources,and a free online digitizer/take-off tool.It is recommended that Bidders
"Register"in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the"Self-Registered Bidders
List". Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on-line plan room

The City's fair practices/non-discrimination policies and the State of Washington prevailing wage rates are applicable for this public
works project located in King County. Bidders are responsible to verify and use the most recent prevailing wage rates. The"Effective
Date"for this project is the Bid Form due date above. The applicable prevailing wage rates may be found on the Department of Labor&
Industries website located at https://fortress.wa.gov/Ini/wagelookup/prvWagelookupaspx.
Mandatory 15%apprentice labor hours of the total labor hours are a requirement of the construction contract. Voluntary workforce
diversity goals for this apprentice participation are identified in the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders may contact the Department of Labor
&Industries,Apprenticeship Section,to obtain information on available apprenticeship programs.
