We then discussed the location of the hydrant in Parcel 29 that was too close to the building. The fire hydrant has not yet been relocated. Mr. Bekken stated that he would investigate the progress of the relocation of this hydrant. We also discussed the "As-Built" drawings that were necessary for our files in the office. Mr. Bekken stated that he would look into the "As-Built" drawing of Eagle Ridge drive with Station 0+00 at the intersection of Eagle Ridge Drive and Benson Road and then heading to the North through Parcel 25 W and 25X, which was to be redrawn and resubmitted to this office. He also stated that he would get "As-Built" drawings made for Parcel 29 water mains and for Parcel 40 water mains which are now completely installed. it was also decided that he wouid look into the easements needed in Parcel 29 to rover the existing water main now in that parcel. ,.. ... . -• AtNrMwrwrrpe.w+ai• sii N N N N M 1 ' F M• h h F' I 1 J 1 i = oil l mWmm m J kk • 7 O ♦ ♦ 0 0 1-Y.Iji n 1I1 A_ Fr {{ r { 4 M w 1 1 MAI MILLS109 OEVELC 4T THUNDER MILL! In order to make this future water line improvement possible with the minimum damage to the completed Grant SLreet. improvement, Puget Western, Inc. will, at this time and at its expense, install a 12" gate valve and approximately 5[', feet of 12" cast iron water main, thus forming a stub connection starting from an existing cross in the water main on 12th Place South and extending south- easterly therefrom to a point in the street right-of-way, but outside the curb line, at the southeasterly corner of the intersection of said 12th Place South and South Grant Street. Puget Western, Inc. additionally hereby commits o pay to the City of Renton one-half of the cost of an equivalent water main extending from 12th Place South along South n- t Street to Puget Drive in satisfaction of the levy or seat i,Lnt which would otherwise be made against the land lying cn the west side of South Grant Street. This payment will be made at the time the City is ready to proceed immediately with the work, and the amount will be as determined by a specific engineering estimate prepared by the City of Penton, with the City retaining the option of accomplishing the work by L.I.D., capital improve- ment, or otherwise. This commitment is being made at the request of the City of Fenton, as a consideration for the approval to proceed with the above-descihed improvement of South Grant Street paving and curbing. Dear Jack, As a result of a meeting held in your office this morning, May 5, 1966, we are advised that you are requeating that an 8" main, together with other necessary appurtenances be con- structed at 12th Place South and on Ethier Road, in the vicinity of Grant Avenue. We are also verbally advised that you are requesting that an "cross" be constructed to accomodate a future 12" main on Grant Avenue. We are also advised that you are ask- ing that we install tw,3 "Tees" and one 8" gate valve to accomo- date a future Pressure Reducing Station. We are happy to accomodate the desires of the City, and expedite the construction so that service can be made available to the various tracts of land on both sides of Ethier Road. As in past projects where pipe and fitting sizes exceei the normal 6" water main requirement, we are asking that the City reimburse us for such oversiaing. Very truly yours, E. D. Approval of Water Plans Ethier Read and Grant Avenue Dear Jack, This is to summarize the situation that has developed in conjunction wish my request for approval for constructing a new developer installed water main upon 12th Place So. , and the Ethier Road in the vicinity of Grant Avenue. it is my understanding that you have hired an independent consulting engineer to develop a complete water plan and design a pump station to serve the Renton still area and that you have been advised by your consultants that they will have not produced sufficient information in the development of this water plan, so that you can approve our construction prior to the end of next week or +pproximately May 6. As related to you earlier we have a commitment to Transamerica Development Company to construct this water main on or before May 1st. However, we know that we cannot construct public water mains without your approval. In view of the construction schedule proposed by Transamerica Development Company, they are going to be in need of a water supply on the Ethier Road, approximately equidistant from Grant Avenue to the Henson Road on May lat. in cooperation with them we sincerely want to perform and meet our commitment- on a schedule compatible with n theirs, so that the orderly en planned growth within the e* 'All City o!
