Dear Mr. Olson:
I am writing relative to the water supply situation for the
property at Renton Avenue and Rainier which is now occupied
by McDonald's. The property is owned by Corner Investment
Co. , of which I am the President. Following my interview
with you, I have talked with Mr. Fregang, the contractor.
In order to solve the water supply situation ,we understand
that the City of Renton will , at its expense, drive an 8-inch
line from Tobin Street under kainier Avenue to the west side
thereof. The Corner Investment Co. will then pay the cost
of extending the 8-inch line to the north end of the Rainier
Avenue frontage of the Corner Investment Co. property, which
cost , we understand, will be approximately $3.85 per foot.
Then, if and when fire plugs are Installed, the hydrant will
be located at said point at the north end of said frontage
without additional cost at that ti.'Ie. The Corner Investment
Co. will not then oe required to participate in a proposed
LID relating to water extensions in the vicinity.
Mr. Fregang , the contractor, . 1 have charea of o aerinq
the connection to the water a -rely so provided and he will
order the size of meter required and pay for the same.
We write to confirm this understanding so you can proceed
promptly with the work, which we understood you would do.
This is quite important to avoid difficulties that would
arise in the case of an early freeze. If anythink further
Is required of us , please contact the writer.
