McHenry, Assistant City Engineer FkOM: Rcnald E. Oisen . r RE: Street Ir:provement Project n Edmond A nue N.F. from N.E. Sunset 5 yyct Boulevard to II.E. 27th St. Previously 116th Avenue S.E. from Sunset boulevard E. to S.F. 97th Street) In Edmonds Avenue N.E. on the west side of the street we have as exist- ing new l(xr pressure 16' O.I . water supply rain from N.E. Sunset Blvd. tforrnerly Sunsr* Rlvd. E.) to N.E. 120 St. (formerly 12th Ave. Q; an existing low • >sore 6" steel water :Hain from N.E. 12th St. to N.E. 16th (formerly S.E '08th St.) ; and an existing 8" steel water main from N.E. 16th St. to N.E. 27th St. (formerly S.E. 97th St.) . Also, on the east side of the street we have an existing 5 year old high pressure 6" C.I. water main froia N.E. 16th St. to N.E. 23rd St. (formerly S.E. 1^.2nd St.) . Due to the pending street improvement project certain of these facilities will have to be reloc2ted or replaced. 3 We propose that the City 'dater Utility furnish the material and the street improvement project furnish the labor for the installation of the following: A new 16" D.I. water supply main from iI.E. 12th St. to N.E. 16th St. t(, replace the existing 6" steel water main, and a ••ew 8' C.I . water main from N.E. 16th St. to N.E. 27th St. The other existing mains were installed at a depth as not to require any major relocation or replacement. We anticipate the approximate cost for the installation of 1250 L.R. of 16" Ductile Iron Pipe will be $7,590.00 and installation of 3300 L. Ft. of 8" Cast Iron Pipe will be $12,400.00. Additional cost chargeable to street project will include: 1) The relocation of approximately 72 meter boxes because of sidewalk location for an estimated cost of $2,520.00, and 2) Approximately 34 meters that will have to be re-t ,pped into the new main at a value of $1 ,300.00.
