Street Construction - N.E. 27th Street
I received an Interoffice memo from Bob Vuhich yesterday with regard to the existing
U' steel water main In N.E. 27th Street. it appears that this main is quite shallow and
must he lowered or relocated due to street construction. 1 have studied the plans rnd it
appears the best solution to this problem would be to relocate this main and provide
sufficient cover. If tiu street project will orovide Installation costs for a new &' C.I.
main the '.later Utility will supply the material and relocate the services. would you
please check out this possibility.

(Your memo dated October 12. 1970)
I have reviewed the existing 8" steel water main in NE 27th Street
and it appears too shallow for the rood construction. This main will
have to be relocated or replaced. The Utility Department would like
to see it replaced with a new 8" C.I. water main .
If the street project will nave this new main installed, the Utility
Department will furnish the materials.
