Dear Ron:
After our phone conversation yesterday I called Mr. RQd
Grenier, Project Superintendant, for CHG Tnternational
at the job site. At that time I explained our conversation
and your concern that the water line was back-filled and
that asphalt was being placed over the line prior to
testing and acceptance by the City of Renton.
Mr. Grenier assured me that he would contact your office
and resolve the problem. I assume that this has been
done.
Upon receipt of your letter I notified Mr. Joseph Lawson,
Vice-President, in charge of Construction for CHG Inter-
national, of the items which we discussed and gave him a
;i copy of your letter. Mr. Lawson assurred me that he was
aware of the problem and that it was being resolved with
your office.

your client in the cost difference between an b' D.I. pipe and a 12"

Dear Mr. Olson,
On behalf of my Client, CHG International, Inc. we wish
to submit to your office a request for a revision to the
approved water line construction drawing.
The request is permission to delete 150 linear feet of 1211
diameter ductile iron pipe. This line is shown in red on
the enclosed plan.
It is the opinion of our Client that by providing the iTIter-
tie between Sunset Boulevard and N.E. 17th St. that they are
assisting the City of Renton in completing their water grid
system.
The amount of water main, hydrants, ets. fer this project is
considerable. To provide installation of this main for fut-
ure use by others is a burden of which our Client would like
to be relieved.

of the revised water and sanitary sewer drawings. I hope they meet

wants to start construction within a week or so.
I have had CHG's attorney draft up a "blanket" water line easement.
Two copies are enclosed. Ron said he would review the "blanket"
easement and then submit it to the City Attorney for his review and
hopefully his approval. Would you please remind Ron?

Dear Mr. Bergstrom,
Thank you for the time and assistance which you gave to me during
our meeting on July 9, 1975.
I wish to outline my understanding as to the items which must be
taken into consideration during the design of the proposed water
system.
1. Fire hydrants must be located within 165 feet of each build-
ing or structure. ,,
2. All pipe shall be ductile ircn pipe.
3. Minimum pipe size shall be 8"
4. The internal system shall be looped with an 8" stub to the `
property line to service the property to the east, a 12"
stub to the property line to service the property to the
west, and an 8" tie along an existing property 'ine in the
Glencoe subdivision to the existing water Rain located in
S.E. 107th Place.
5. There shall be 1 each -l" meter per building
6. Easements with a minimum width of 15 feet shall be provided
along the water main.
7. The outstanuing front-footage charge of $7.27973 for 605.52 "
feet along Suriset Boulevard, for a total of $4,408.02, will
be paid.
