required the Installation of a new fire hydrant to protect your
business. It has come to our attention that the new fire hydrant
has yet to be installed, ana we are concerned that tl.is lten may

hydrant is a requirement by City Ordinance, but even pore so, it is

A review of our records has discovered that the building con-
struction authorized by permit in Julv of 1976 has never s
cei,rea final occupancy approval. aor has the fire hydrant
required as a ( ,ndition of building construction been installed.
This hydrant will have to be installed as required and building
GLrartment occupancy approval shall be satisfied in order for
the Fire Department to approve any further occupancy of this
building. It is my unpleasant duty to inform you that this
action must be started within 30 days of receipt Of this letter
or the Fire Department will have to take action to secure this
building from further occupancy.

this project. If, within the prescribed time limits, this

Dear Mr. Malesis:
As per discussion a fire hydrant should be last: cd at the southwest
corner of the intersection of South 3rd St. and Rainier Ave. S. This
fire hydrant will also benefit Firestone Tire as well as Diamond Lil's
restaurant and these firms should also share in the cost of this
installation.
The City of Renton in an ;ffort to get this hydrant installed will
bear the cost of the installation The material cost will have to be
borne by those having benefit from tnis installation. The foll')wing is
