($1,721.00) has not been paid for. If it meets with your approval, we can
save passing checks back and forth by deducting the $1,603.99 we owe you from
$1,721.00 you ore us. This leaves a balance you owe the City of $117.01.
Attached herewith is a sketch showing in yellow the portion of the water line
■ that the City is participating in.
If you agree with the above calculations and methodology of payment, please
send a chock in the amount of $117.01 to the City. If you have any questions
on the above, please contact this office.

Gentlemen:
I have reviewed the cost participation submittal dated October 27, 077
prepared by Alan D. Furs and find some areas of discrepancy between the
mount requested and the amount we agreed upon. the participation agrea-
sent was such that the City would pay the material cost above and beyond
what would be required of the developer for Farrell's Ist Addition in
Duval Ave. N.E.
The requirement for thl plat was a street crossing and an extension of
water main south the width of the plat development, which was approximately
132 If. This amount of water main was to be installed to the north instead.
The remaining amount of materials to the north was to be paid for by the
City as shown helve:

Dear Ron,
In accordarce with our conversation on Ma; 19th the following
is our understanding regarding the water main construction
requirements on Duval Ave. NE:
1. Our client is required to extend an 8 in. dia. main,
North to connect with the existing main at SS 100th
rlace. The City also requires that a connection
be made to the existing line at SE 101st P1.
The reason for this requirement is that inade .iate i -
quantity of flow and reliability would result by i
only a single connection in Anacortes Ave.
2. The City will apply the 1 cent oer square foot service
availability charge against the cost of materials
for water main in Duval Ave. The City will reimburse
our client for the amount by which the cost of t
materials exceeds the 1 c-nt per square foot service
availability charge. y

?. Our client will provide labor and equipment as necesbary
for the construction at no charge to the CitV.
4. our client will not be required to construct water main
south adjacent to the plat.
If anv portion of the above is not in accordance with vour under-
standing, please let us know.

Dear Ron,
In accordance with our conversation on May 19th the following :.
is our understanding regarding the water main construction t
requirements on Duval Ave. NE:
1. Our client is required to extend an 8 in. dia. main,
North to connect with the existing main at SE 100th
Place. The City also requires that a conne^tion
be made to the existing line at SE 101st P1.
The reason for this requirement is that inadequate 4.
quantity of flow and reliability woulc result by
only a single connection in Anacortes Ave.
2. The City will apply the 1 cent cer square foot service
availability charge against the cost of materials
for water main in Duval Ave. The City will reimburse
our client for the amount by which the cost of
materials exceeds the 1 cent per square foot service
availability charge.
3. Our client will provide labor and equipment as necessary
for the construction at no charge to th- City.

4. Our client will not be required to construct water mai.i
south adjacent to the plat.
