We are in receipt of the drawing submitted per our June 5, 1979 letter of
request. We find the drawing to be unacceptable. In order to meet our
standard requirements the drawing must show the following data:
Tie hydrant to centerline of adjacent right-of-way and also
tie hydrant to nearest intersecting street. Show dimensions.
Also, as previously stated the drawing must be on reproducible
paper or mylar at a scale of V-40'. •-

Dear Mr. Belmondo:
On January 11, at a meeting which you attended, the Board of
Public Works reviewed your request for a variance from the
following requirements in conjunction with the construction of
the parent/child center. at NE 7th Street and Monroe Avenue NE
on the RVTI campuvi
1) Ins'.allation of curbs and sidewalks on Monroe
Avenue NE adjacent to the project
2) Repla;:ement of curb and sidewalk on NE 7th Street
3) lnstallatiOn of 10-inch water main between NE 7th
Place and NE 7th Street
It was the Boaru 's decision to grant a deferment of the
improvements as requested for a period not to exceed two years
for the follcwing reasons: lack of a total improvement program
for Monroe Avenue NE and lack of grades that would be consistent
in a total improvement. This action was taken with the specific
understanding that the School OIL tract will be proposing a bond
issue which will include total o. f-site improvements for the RVTI
campus, that the improvemen 's will ultimately have to be installed,
and that the required fire flows will have to be provided.
