near Mr. Struthers:
As you are aware sanitary sewers are not readily avail.,ble to your
Hi-Gate subdivision. To provide service to your property you proposed
to collect tt-.e si:wage and pump it to an existing system which is in
another basin. This is pcnnissable as long as provisions are made to
connect your system to the gravity system when installed. Aiso, the
cost of the trunk lines for the ar;,vity system will hive to be buu,e
by all the property receiving benefit including yourtvlf which is the
main point of this letter. As a property owner in the May Creek Lasfn
you will be required to participate in the cost of tLe May Creek trunk
line and the Kc.nnyda!e Interceptor, The May Creek t unk line which will
serve the entire May Creek basin has been estimated Lc. ;osl ona million
dollars and serve an area of 2636 acres for a per sq.ft. charge of
$O.00F?/sq.ft . The Kennydale Interceptor which serves your porti,ular
sub-basin has been estimated to cost S300,000.00 and serve, an area of
240 acres for a per sq.ft. charge of $0.0287/5q.ft. App.uximately 40%
of this cost will be recovered from properties receiving direct benefit
from the individual lines.
Your cost in Lonnection with the Hi-Gate Subdivision for sever scrvica
will therefore be:
1 . $0.01/sq. ft. for system development charges
2. $0.0067/sq.ft. for the May Creek frunk line
3• $0.0163/sq.ft. for 60E of the Ktnmyddiu Interceptor
for a total of SO.035/sq. "t. or $14,941.06. Once the temporary lift
statio:, has been installed and tested the City will accept It for mainten-
ance, relieving the developer .X maintriience and operation costs.
