It :s a requirement set by State Law that main line waterline installed on private ,ron- erty lie within an easement granted to the City and that the pipe, valves and fire hydr„nts are turned cver to the City for mainte- nance and operation. The main line water line and appurtenances then become part of the City's distribution system. We do have your required water line easement on file. After signing the document before a Notary Public, please return the Bill of Sale to the City for recording. A recorded copy will be sent to you for your records.
