This is to confirm our understanding resulting from our meeting on the
subject project last Monday August 1, 1988. It is our understanding that the
8" sanitary sever line parallelling the existing Hospital's North and West
building faces at an approximate distance of 25 feet is classified as a side
sever and that there maintenance is the responsibility of the Hospital. It
was also discussed that the use of a 11 112e bend on the S" side sever would
be acceptable to facilitate the relocation of a junction manhole from within
the proposed enclosed walkway.

On May 12, 1988, the Zoning Division received an ameudmev to the Valley Medical Center I f
Site Plan application. This material was received after the deadline for your comments upon
the original application.
For your information, this amendment revises the project to eliminate the proposed 56 space
staff parking area at the lower level of the development. The structure was designed to
provide parking in excess of the Zoning Code requirements, so elimination does not violate
the Code.
The proposed project now calls for a 24,960 square fool (40 bed) psychiatric unit as an
interim use at this location. This plan reduces the building footprint which was originally
a 25,600 square feet. A proposed 3,000 square foot mechanical service structure also
j continues to be a part of the plan.
If you wish to review the revised applicatioe. and/or to modify your comments to reflect
the proposed amendment, we will be pleased to make those materiiIs available to you.
We would appreciate it if you would review the revised application by 5:00 noon on May
19th, as we would like to present this application to the Technical Advisory Committee on
May 20, 1988.
