Our company is in the process of trying to develop the above mentioned site. We have al- ways attempted to cooperate and supply the city with its' requests according to instructions received from va.ious staff members. The original plan check took approximately two months and then a building permit was issued, we .+ere told to proceed with construc- tion according to the red line corrections indicated on the drawinqs. The red line architecturals are apparently the permit set, but none of the utility red line drawings were considered permit sets although I was led to balieve they were. We were required to redesign and re- submit (at a substantial cost increase to us) . Construction has started, and we have spent over $11,000 in building and utility per- mits to date. The utility drawings, although a permit has been issued, have yet to be signed off. Our position is that any further delay which results in an increased cost to us, either involving construction or additional design re- quirements over .snd above those indicated on the corrected urawings dated October 31, 1978, will place the city of Renton liable for dam- ages which occur resulting in additional cost to 'us. This project will substantially add to the city's tax base and upgrad, your utilities system. Wo are willing to cooperate in all areas, and would appreciate your timely response to our project. Semer Dear Al: An analysis of the proposed Vantage View Apartments has been performed. A demand of 3200 gpm for fire fighting was included while also supplying at the average rate of the maximum day demand. The calculated residual pressures in the mains nearest to the proposed apartments were approxi- mately 65 psi. This pressure is accomplished while providing an 8" loop around the proposed apartments. There are three reasons for the cal d residual pressure: o hydraulic proximity to the 16" pipeline a relatively low ground elevation for that pressure zone (higher elevations in the same zone experience marginally low pressures due to the fire simulation and corresponding pressure supprension at the proposed apartments). { n two pumps are operating at both Mt. Olivet and Windsot hills pump stations. A copy of the system analysis has been sent to Mr. Ron Olson of the City of Renton, as requested.
