This letter summarizes the results of this analysis and the available fireflow capacity based on the City's existing water system. The analysis was based on the ^xisting 10-inch diameter waterliin along N.E. 4th Street and the propose.. 8-Inch diameter waterline along the west property line Between M.F. 4th Street and N.F. 3rd Street. Results of the analysis indicate that the water system arias the capability of delivering approximately 4,032 gallons per minute (qpm) to the site of the proposed development at a pressure residual of 20 R`unds per square inch (psi). Nowevrr, the velocity in the proposer) 8-inch diameter main along the west property line is in excess of 8 feet per 1:rond (fps). Although the water system is physically capable of delivering this flowrate, there could be potentially dangerous and severe consequences associated with allowing that flowrate to occur.
