Fire Flow Analysts for the Fr000se Terrace Condominiur Development Dear Mr. Warner Analyses of the City of kenton's water ;.yste- nave been oerformed for the purpose of determining the w,ter suonly available for Ranting a fire at the proposed condominium site. In accordance with Insurance Service; Office criteria, the analyses were simulated based on the water system experiencing a maximum day water demand with the single largest supply to the Highland's pressure zone, the Windsor Hill pump station out of service. Furtner the Mt. Olivet pump station is in service and the Highland's reservoirs are supplying the system. Results of the analyses indicate that the proposed B" diameter mains in the development are not of sufficient size to supply the required fire flows. A substantial increase in the fire-f?ow capability can 'le obtained by using 10-inch diameter mains. An analysis was performed to determine the fire-flow capability with a 10-inch diameter pipeline along the Perimeter of the development as shown in Attachment A. This resulted in a fire flow capability of approximately 3,045 gpm from hydrant 1 and 1 .910 gpm from hydrant '_, for a total caoabilit,v of 4,955 gpr.
