REPORT NO. EG40600 CASE# 25-9051 OF COLLISION
10/20/25 00:48
OF CbLLI510N
NARRATIVE
On 10/20/2025, 1 was working uniformed patrol in a marked police car as 3R23. At approximately
0050 hours, officers were dispatched to an unknown injury collision at the intersection of NE 12th
St/Duvall Ave NE, which is located within the city limits of Renton, County of King, Washington.
Dispatch advised that multiple callers had reported a 2-car collision at the intersection.
As I was driving to the call, dispatch advised that the occupants of one of the involved vehicles (a
pickup truck) had fled from the location in scattered directions.
It should be noted that around this same time, other officers were dispatched to a domestic incident
nearby at the Albertsons at 4621 NE Sunset Blvd, Renton. Officers later relayed to me that the two
incidents were related. The domestic incident is documented under the same Renton PD case
number as this report.
When I arrived at the collision location, I located both involved vehicles as listed above. I saw that
Unit 2 was blocking the northbound lanes of travel on Duvall Ave NE with the driver and sole
occupant outside of the vehicle. I also located Unit 1 just west of the intersection, unoccupied with a
white/black husky in the rear passenger cabin.
I spoke to the driver of Unit 2. She explained the following:
The driver of Unit 2 explained that she was headed northbound on Duvall Ave NE, approaching NE
12th St. Unit 2 said that suddenly, she saw that Unit 1 was headed westbound on NE 12th St and was
entering the intersection at Duvall Ave NE. Unit 2 mentioned that she had tried to brake to avoid a
collision with Unit 1 to no avail. Unit 1 had struck the front side of Unit 2.
The driver of Unit 2 stated she was the sole occupant of the vehicle. She mentioned that she had
some slight leg pain. She also mentioned that she was not wearing her seatbelt.
I took a look around Unit 2. 1 saw that multiple airbags had deployed inside. I also saw that the entire
front bumper of Unit 2 was destroyed.
I went over to Unit 1 and took a look around. I saw that Unit 1 had significant damage around the
entirety of the vehicle. I also saw that a nearby City of Renton utility box on the northwest corner of
the intersection had been struck down. I saw that wires were exposed coming from the bottom of the
box. There was also debris scattered all along NE 12th St that appeared to have come from inside
Unit 2.
Other witnesses in the area had also approached me and confirmed that Unit 1 was indeed traveling
westbound down NE 12th St toward Duvall Ave NE, before they crashed into Unit 2. No one
mentioned that they could identify the driver of Unit 1 at this time.
Dispatch did mention that Unit 1 came back as an unconfirmed stolen vehicle out of the Auburn
Police Department (APD) (OCA: 25-08437). Dispatch eventually confirmed the stolen status of Unit 2.
Other officers handled the auto recovery portion of this incident under Renton PD case #25-9053.
1 did a better look around the scene of the collision. I did notice that there were black tire marks on the
roadway that match the direction of travel of Unit 1. The tire marks appear to head westbound on NE
12th St and approach the northwest corner of the intersection toward the utility box. On the adjacent
sidewalk next to the utility boxes, the same black tire marks could be seen heading in the direction of
the utility box. Unit 1 is then seen on NE 12th St, facing perpendicular to the roadway with the front of
the vehicle facing north.
Sergeant J. Christiansen flagged me down and provided me with more information as to the
occupants of Unit 1. She explained the following:
Sergeant J. Christiansen mentioned that the domestic incident at the nearby Albertsons was related
to the collision. She said that the original reporting party for the domestic incident knew who was
driving Unit 1.
According to CAD, the reporting party for the domestic incident is Rachel L. McLenaghan (DOB:
09/15/1992).
Rachel mentioned to officers that the driver of Unit 1 was her ex-boyfriend, Dakota J. Bradbury (DOB:
06/07/1994). Upon a DOL check of Dakota, his driver's status was suspended/revoked in the 3rd
degree.

REPORT NO. EG40600 CASE# 25-9051 OF COLLISION
10/20/25 00:48
OF CbLLI510N
NARRATIVE
Rachel described that Dakota was allegedly high on methamphetamines and was previously driving
up and down Duvall Ave NE from the Albertsons. Dakota had then turned into the dead end of NE
12th St (east side) from Duvall Ave NE. Dakota then drove back toward Duvall Ave NE westbound
from NE 12th St and struck Unit 2.
Officers attempted to locate Dakota to no avail.
The driver of Unit 2 left the location with her children, who had come to pick her up. She was
evaluated by the fire department before she left the location.
Both Unit 1 and Unit 2 were impounded from the location by Gene Meyer Tow.
At this time, based on the fact that Rachel had identified that Dakota was the driver of Unit 1; the fact
that Dakota was operating Unit 1 and was involved in a motor vehicle accident with Unit 2 which
resulted in damage to her vehicle and a nearby City of Renton utility box; and the fact that he did not
stay on location or make a reasonable effort in an attempt to provide the necessary information he is
required to provide in the event of a motor vehicle collision to the driver of Unit 2 or to the City of
Renton, I found probable cause for RCW 46.52.020-hit and run (attended).
Additionally, based on the fact that Dakota was identified to be the driver of Unit 1 and the fact that a
DOS check on Dakota revealed that his driver's license status is suspended/revoked in the 3rd
degree, I found probable cause for RCW 46.20.342 -driving while license suspended.
A SECTOR citation was forwarded to the prosecuting attorney's office for further review.
I also completed a SECTOR collision that documents the collision portion of this incident.
I also completed a City of Renton incident report and forwarded it to the appropriate personnel for
further review.
Other officers took possession of the husky and placed it in the Renton PD kennels.
Other officers took photos of the incident location and uploaded them to Evidence.com to be added to
the case file.
This concludes my involvement in this case.
Please view other officers' reports for further details.
This concludes my report.
I certify (declare) under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of Washington that the
foregoing is true and correct.
