Narrative
During this incident, I was equipped with a body-worn camera, which records both audio and video. Portions
of this incident were recorded. This report is merely a summary of the incident and is not intended to be an
exact transcription of the entire investigation or what may have been captured with the recording system.
was operating a fully marked Police Tahoe#320 which was equipped with overhead emergency lights and
sirens. I was also wearing my department issued Renton Police uniform which clearly identifies me as a
Police Officer.

On 11/01/2025 at approximately 1900 hours I was involved in a minor collision on James St just east of 8th
Ave,within the City of Seattle, King County, Washington.
I had just recently booked a subject into King County Juvenile Detention Center and was returning back to the
City of Renton.As I was traveling westbound on James St there was heavy traffic approaching 7th Ave.
Vehicles were stopped in the aforementioned intersection due to the traffic, although there was a green light
myself and the vehicle directly in front of me were stopped prior to the intersection so we would not block the
intersection.Traffic began flowing so I rolled forward slightly but again came to a stop because of the traffic.
The vehicle directly behind me failed to stop and rolled into me causing a rear-end style collision. It was at
slow speeds and no injuries resulted from this collision.
I identified the other vehicle as a 2001 SAA 9-3 (WA/LIC: BHX0666 VIN#YS3DF55K112057877). I identified the
driver and sole occupant as Stephanie C Bohn (DOB 05/20/1981) by her WADOL photo. Stephanie advised me
that she saw me begin driving forward and did not realize I was coming to a stop.
Seattle PD was requested to respond for the collision report but after 40 minutes they still did not have an
ETA. Sergeant Thielman gave me permission to document the report myself due to how minor it was and
SPD's very extended response.The proximate cause of this collision was Stephanie failing to notice that I had
come to a stop.
I uploaded images of my vehicle through Axon. My patrol vehicle (2019 Chevrolet Tahoe WA/LIC: 67618D VIN#
1GNLCDEC6KR355209) sustained very minor damage to the rear bumper.The other vehicle had no noticeable
damage.
This incident occurred in the sCity of Renton,King County,Washington State.
