HomeMy WebLinkAboutC_KCWTD_Public Comment_251105.pdf Department of Natural Resources and Parks King Street Center, KSC-NR-0500 201 South Jackson Street Seattle, WA 98104-3854 November 4, 2025 sent via email: amorganroth@rentonwa.gov KC OAP Ref No.: 2376 Alex Morganroth City of Renton 1055 South Grady Way Renton, WA 98057 Dear Alex Morganroth: The King County Wastewater Treatment Division (WTD) has received the Notice of Application and Proposed Determination of Non-Significance(DNS) for the Saleh Foundation Center project (LUA25-000364, SA-H, CU-H, ECF / PR25-000073) that proposes the applicant, the Saleh Foundation, is requesting Hearing Examiner Site Plan Review, a Hearing Examiner Conditional Use Permit, and Environmental (SEPA) Checklist in order to construct a new 5- story, 35,000 square foot mixed-use building at 4108 and 41XX Jones Avenue NE (parcel nos. 3345700080 and 3345700085). The project site totals 52,341 square feet (1.20 acres) and is located in the Commercial Arterial (CA) zone with an Urban Design District D overlay and a Comprehensive Plan designation of Commercial Mixed Use (CMU). The development will include ground-level parking beneath the building (20 stalls), with an additional 42 stalls provided offsite under a shared parking agreement, and 7 parallel stalls created along the project frontage. Access will be taken from a new driveway off of Jones Avenue NE. A King County facility, the May Creek Interceptor is located at the west extent of the project area. (See enclosed record drawing and one line drawing showing the location of the facility in the project vicinity). In order to protect this wastewater facility during construction, WTD requires that City of Renton submit preliminary design drawings for the project, so that WTD can assess its potential impacts.
