Narrative
During this incident, I was equipped with a body-worn camera, which records both audio and video. Portions
of this incident were recorded. This report is merely a summary of the incident and is not intended to be an
exact transcription of the entire investigation or what may have been captured with the recording system.
was operating a fully marked Police Tahoe#320 which was equipped with overhead emergency lights and
sirens. I was also wearing my department issued Renton Police uniform which clearly identifies me as a
Police Officer.
Case Number 25-9480
On 11/01/2025 at approximately 1641 hours I was dispatched to a collision that had occurred at the
intersection of Morris Ave S and S 5th St, within the City of Renton, King County,Washington.
I identified unit 1 in this collision as a 2004 Subaru Legacy WA/LIC: BYU5308 VIN#4S3BH625147304139) which
was drove by Alice E Schroeder(DOB 03/22/1972). Unit 1 sustained minor damage along the drivers side and
was able to leave under its own power.
I identified unit 2 in this collision as a 2023 Kia Telluride (WA/LIC: CGV3170 VIN#5XYP6DGC4PG404461)which
was drove by Alenka Beganovic (DOB 05/21/1986). Unit 2 sustained very minor front end damage and was
able to leave under its own power.
Based on statements from both parties I deducted that unit 1 was traveling eastbound on S 5th St approaching
Morris Ave S. Unit 1 came to a stop at Morris Ave S, and as she continued eastbound through the intersection,
she failed to see unit 2 who was traveling southbound on Morris Ave S. Unit 2 did not have a stop sign
therefore had the right of way in this intersection.The proximate cause of this collision was unit 1 failing to
yield to unit 2.
No injuries were reported, and I gave unit 1 a verbal warning for failing to yield.
