Narrative
On 11/02/2025 at about 1333 hours I was dispatched to a non-injury hit and run motor vehicle collision that
just occurred in the 1400 block of Bronson Way N within the city limits of Renton, King County, Washington.
Joshua J. Pate was driving his vehicle (Unit 2-gray colored 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe with Washington state
license plate NA07725) southbound in lane 1 of the 1400 block of Bronson Way N when it was struck by Unit 1
(black colored 2015 Cadillac ATS with Washington state license plate AWL7370). Unit 1 appeared to be
merging into lane 1 from lane 2 as its front driver side struck the front passenger side of Unit 2. Joshua looked
over and saw the driver of Unit 1 raise both her arms and shrug her shoulders. Joshua motioned for the driver
of Unit 1 to pull over; however, Unit 1 got into lane 1 and continued southbound. Joshua followed Unit 1 and
last saw Unit 1 continue southbound on Benson Rd S passing over Interstate 405. The driver of Unit 1 did not
appear to make any attempt to pull over and contact Joshua after the collision. Joshua was able to take a
photo of the rear license plate of Unit 1 using his cellphone before he stopped following the vehicle. Joshua
then met me at Renton City Hall to relay the details of the collision. Joshua described the driver of Unit 1 as
follows: white female, 60s in age,thin build, dark colored curly styled hair, and she wore eyeglasses. Joshua
said he may be able to identify the female driver if he saw her again.
Unit 2 had minor damage to the front passenger side area of the vehicle, and it was drivable. Joshua and the
two passengers inside Unit 2 (Rebecca Pate and Dayzi McCown) were not injured. Unit 1 was registered to
Amy J. Withers (DOB: 11/19/1956) located at 13430 SE 252nd St, Kent, Washington. I later discovered that
Kent PD officers went to Amy's residence and gathered her telephone number and insurance policy number. I
attempted to call Amy, but she did not answer. I left a detailed voicemail message requesting she return my
call. I have not yet been able to positively identify Amy Withers as the driver of Unit 1.
