I contacted Nickafla Ntipa Nuenga (DOB 05/25/1988)who was driving his black 2015 Chevy Malibu BLN2292/WA)VIN/1G11F5SL8FF286282. Nickafla was identified by his WADL photo. Nickfla stated that he was driving east out of the Walmart parking lot when he approached the 4-way stop near Rainier Ave S. As he continued through the 4-way, a gray Hyundai Elantra CSB3551/WA) VIN/KMHDH4AE2DU716842 did not stop and collided into the passenger side door causing over$1000 in damage. Nickfla and the driver exited and agreed to pull over to the Speed Way gas station to exchange information. The Hyundai driver did not stop, he continued onto Rainer Ave S. Nickfla described the Hispanic male as having short hair, standing between 5-10 and 6-0 tall, medium build. He was wearing a light blue long sleeve shirt. Nickfla stated that he would be able to identify the driver. The registered owner of the Hyundai is Dogny Alexander Maldonado-Gimenez (DOB 11-20-1984). Dogny's physical match the description of the driver. I provided the case number to Nickfla on my business card. Unit#1 (SUSPECT)committed one(1)count of Hit-and-Run—Attended by being involved in an accident with another vehicle,which is attended, and failing to stop and remain at the scene until fulfilling all statutory duties(provide name, address, insurance company, policy,vehicle license, exhibit driver's License and render reasonable assistance to any person injured). This incident was captured on my body-worn camera.This report is a summary of the events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events.
