Unless otherwise noted, the following occurred in the City of Renton, County of King,WA.
On 11-07-2025 at approximately 1836 hours I was dispatched to a two-vehicle collision that
occurred at Park Ave N / N Southport Dr. I arrived at approximately 1839 hours and met with the
drivers in the nearby LA Fitness (715 N Landing Way) parking lot.
The driver of unit 1 stated she just wished to exchange information but the driver of unit 2 did not
wish to exchange information as the drivers did not agree on how the collision occurred. I
gathered that unit 2 was traveling southwest/straight through the intersection and unit 1 was in
the left turn lane to travel southeast onto Park Ave N. Unit 1 changed her mind and wished to go
southwest. She thought the lane was clear and switched lanes, colliding with unit 2.
The damage on both vehicles matches this account. No one involved reported injury.There was
no airbag deployment and neither vehicle needed towing. I provided both drivers with the case
number.The driver of unit 2 provided electronic insurance that expired earlier this year. I asked
her to send me current insurance information within the next 24 hours.
When I returned to work on 11-08-2025, the driver of unit 2 emailed me her insurance card. I
noticed that the effective date was 11-07-2025. 1 attempted to contact the insurance company,
The General, but the office was closed. It is unclear at this time if the driver of unit 2 obtained
insurance after the collision. No citations are being issued at this time.
During this incident it is likely my body-worn and/or in-car camera was recording audio and
video. This report is merely a summary of the incident and is not intended to be an exact
transcription of the entire investigation or what may have been captured with the recording
system.
