The following occurred in the City of Renton, King County, Washington unless otherwise stated.
During this incident 1 was equipped with body-worn camera which records both audio and video.
Portions of the incident were recorded. This report is merely a summary of the incident and is not
intended to be an exact transcription of the entire investigation or what may have been captured
with the recording system. During this incident I was wearing a department issued uniform or jump
suit and outer carrier vest which was marked with "Police"both on the front, back, and
department patches on each shoulder of the uniform or jumpsuit, as well as a Renton Police Velcro
badge on my►eft chest. It would be immediately obvious to any reasonable person that I was a
Police Officer.
On 11/10/2025 at 0936 hours I was dispatched to a hit and run report that occurred at 546 Burnett
Ave N on 11/04/2025 at 0341 hours.
I called the victim, identified as Scott L. Young (DOB: 08/03/1960), who stated that he owns the
business at that address called Signature Auto Detail. Young stated that he had a vehicle that belongs
to Good Chevrolet (a black 2022 Jeep Wagoneer WA LP: CDH9907) at that location overnight for a job
and had the vehicle parked within his parking lot during closed business hours.
Young stated that he noticed damage to the rear passenger side of the Jeep and upon checking
camera footage, saw that there was a black sedan that was proceeding North on Burnett Ave N and
attempted to turn right to proceed East on N 6th St. Young stated that the sedan hopped onto the
sidewalk and entered the parking lot where it collided with the Wagoneer. Young stated that while
cleaning up debris, he noticed that there was some debris that did not belong to the Jeep and upon a
check of the part#, saw that it returned to a 2019-2023 Mercedez Unk make/model.
At this time there are no suspects in this case and the suspect vehicle remains outstanding.
