EG49070 CASE# 25-9884 F LNa O 11/14/25 06:49 F coy�isI©�ON u NARRATIVE 25-9884 This incident was captured on my body worn video camera. This report is a summary of events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events. Statements have been paraphrased and summarized. On 11-14-2025 1 was working as a police officer in the city of Renton. At approximately 0654 hours I was dispatched to the report of a hit and run collision at the intersection of Renton Ave S/Taylor Ave NW, City of Renton, County of King, WA. This incident was captured on my department issued Axon body camera. According to the notes in the call, a male was laying in the roadway, head bleeding, and declined aid. The male was conscious. I arrived on scene with the Renton Fire Department already on scene. The male on the bike was already being provided medical care by the fire department and medics. He was later identified by Department of Licensing photograph as James J Sellers (DOB: 10-25-1990). He was not able to speak with police as he was actively being medical worked on. The fire department advised he was not wearing a helmet. He sustained a broken right arm and a head injury with a laceration. Officer Watson photographed James and the bicycle. James was transported to Harborview Medical Center. I spoke with a witness, Maggie A Walker (DOB: 11-17-1977). Maggie advised she was stopped at the intersection prepared to go north through. Her light turned green. She saw the male on the bike using the crosswalk on the west side of the intersection, travelling northwest to southeast. She saw a dark colored SUV drive from the southwest to the northeast through the intersection at approximately 50 miles per hour. The SUV hit James and the bicycle head on and ejected him from his bike. James was laying on the ground approximately 100 feet from the point of impact. His bike was about 10 feet closer. The SUV made no attempt to stop or slow down. It continued towards Rainier Ave but unknown which direction it travelled. The SUV was further described as a black or dark colored 2020's model, large SUV (similar to a Tahoe), with black wheels. She was unable to see a license plate or driver description. Maggie called 911 immediately after witnessing the collision. The collision likely occurred a couple minutes prior to 0649. According to the facts regarding this case, there was not enough information to establish probable cause for a suspect in this felony hit and run.
