Unless otherwise noted,the following occurred within the city limits of Renton, county of King, state of
Washington.
On 11/14/2025, 1 was working as a uniformed police officer for the city of Renton.At approximately 1945
hours, I was dispatched to a hit-and-run collision at Top Pot Doughnuts, 815 N 10th St. Portions of my
involvement in the incident were captured on my department-issued bodycam.Any statements referred to
have been paraphrased and summarized.
While enroute, I learned that the collision occurred at approximately 1940 hours.The suspect vehicle struck
the reporting party's vehicle and then fled the scene westbound towards Logan Ave N.There were no injuries
to parties on scene, however,the victim's vehicle was blocking the roundabout near the location.The suspect
vehicle was allegedly a white Nissan pickup truck with front end damage.
When I was dispatched to the location, I was in the area of Rainier Ave S and Airport Way. I drove eastbound
along Airport Way,then northbound on Logan Ave N until I arrived on scene. I did not see a white Nissan
pickup truck with front end damage during my route.
I located unit 2 in the roundabout immediately northwest of the business. I spoke to the driver and learned
that in the immediate moments preceding the collision, he was safely merged in the roundabout and
proceeding through.According to him, unit 1 was positioned south of the roundabout, facing north prior to
the collision.As he continued through, beginning to pass unit 1, it pulled out into the roundabout, striking unit
2 in the front passenger side. Unit 2, with little to no hesitation, continued through the roundabout until it
exited to the west,going an unknown direction from there once it reached the stoplight at Logan Ave N.
I walked around unit 2 and observed that the front bumper was only hanging on by the connection on the
drivers' side. Furthermore,the front passenger side headlight had also completely fallen off the vehicle. I
captured photos of the damages and uploaded the photos to the case file via Axon Capture.
A witness remained on scene and was able to show me a pair of photos she captured of unit 1 prior to its
flight. I reviewed the images and observed what I believed to be a white Nissan pickup truck.The tailgate of
the vehicle had a distinct black trapezoid in the top center of it, containing a Nissan emblem. I later uploaded
the photos to the case file via Axon Capture.
This incident occurred in the sCity of Renton,King County,Washington State.

I assisted the driver of unit 2 with parking his vehicle in a parking spot so that it did not need to be towed.
I provided the driver of unit 2 with a copy of my business card and case number.
I later reviewed FLOCK footage at cameras positioned in the area. FLOCK cameras are stationary license plate
readers positioned strategically throughout the city of Renton.At approximately 1943 hours on 11/14/2025,
the camera stationed on N Southport Dr near Garden Ave N, monitoring eastbound traffic read WA
lic/C19956Y.The plate returns to an unknown color 2009 Nissan Titan, registered to Ruben Valencia-Herrera
(07/06/1983). Per other FLOCK captures of the same plate,the vehicle appears to be white or silver in color.
While it cannot definitively be proven this is the same vehicle that was involved in the collision,the short time
delay and proximity to the collision site makes it a likely candidate.
