This report is a summary of events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events. On 11/07/2025 at approximately 2204 hours I was dispatched to a hit and run that occurred in the intersection of East Valley Rd and SW 43rd St in the city of Renton, King County, WA. I contacted the reporting party, identified by his WADL as Singh, Baldev DOB 12/27/1980,who is a Lyft driver that currently had a passenger in his vehicle, a maroon Toyota Venza with WA LIC: CAS5805. His passenger was sitting in the rear passenger side seat and is identified by his WAID as Calvin,Joshua C DOB 02/21/1997. Both were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident. Singh informed me he was in the left-hand turn lane of East Valley Rd waiting to turn left(east) on to SW 43rd St. As he was sitting at the light,the vehicle behind him rolled in to the rear of his vehicle, shaking the car and jolting him and his passenger forward. He then saw a Subaru Impreza Wagon with WA LIC A8836005, backing up away from him. When the light turned green, both vehicles turned into a nearby 7-Eleven parking lot. Singh stated the female driver did not exchange information and instead left the scene. The Subaru is registered to a Renton address. Other officers attempted contact at the address but the property was gated and locked so they were unable to access. Damage to Singh's vehicle appeared minimal. A witness that was behind the Subaru provided Singh with dash cam video of the incident which also captured the plate. Video and images of the accident were uploaded to Axon. If the driver of the with WA LIC:A8836005 can be identified,there is probable cause to cite them for 46.52.020 duty on striking an attended car or other property(hit and run)for running into Singhs maroon Toyota Venza with WA LIC: CAS5805 and not stopping to exchange or provide personal information.
