EG48298 CASE# 25-9697 DATE OF COLLI r�510NN + 11/07/25 18:02 L1 NARRATIVE CASE 25-9697 This incident was captured on my body worn video camera and/or in-car dash camera. This report is a summary of events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events. On Friday November 7th, 2025, at approximately 18:07, 1 responded to a 911 call regarding a blocking two-vehicle collision at Benson Road South and South Grady Way within the City of Renton, King County, Washington. ***CALL REMARKS: 2 MVA.. NI.. BLKING NB LN... GOING TO ATTEMPT TO MOVED VEHS OUT OF RDWY AND EXCHANGE INFO. I arrived on scene and noticed the involved vehicles stopped near the entrance of Renton City Hall. I contacted the involved drivers and passengers and checked for injuries. No one complained of pain or injuries, and no one had any visible signs of injuries. contacted the driver of unit one identified as Mei Y. Lei (DOB:6.22.1939) who was standing in the road on Benson Road South behind her vehicle which was stopped in the roadway. Mei appeared confused and shaken up, so I helped walk her over to the sidewalk while 1 moved her vehicle out of the roadway. 1 had Mei sit back in her vehicle since she used a cane to walk and appeared flustered/shaken up. It was determined Mei spoke Cantonese, so 1 contacted an interpreter for Cantonese utilizing the language line. Mei did not provide any details on how the collision occurred and appeared flustered and confused. Due to Mei's behavior requested aid respond to examine Mei. After being examined, Mei refused to go to the hospital and indicated she was fine. Mei's vehicle sustained minor damage to the front driver side but was still drivable. Due to Mei's behavior, her age, and being shaken up from the crash, I did not believe it would be safe for Mei to drive her vehicle home, so I transported her home. Renton Fire personnel parked her vehicle at City Hall. Once Mei was at home, I requested the Renton Care's unit respond and offer Mei some resources since she expressed she lived alone, did not have any friends nor family around, and no one that could help her. contacted the driver of unit two, identified as Tony Ngo (DOB: 3.16.2003) who was also outside of his vehicle. Tony reported the following; he was stopped at the red light at Benson Road South and South Grady Way when Mei hit his vehicle while she was attempting to turn right on Benson Road South from South Grady Way and took the turn to wide. Tony and his front passenger Julia M. Johnson (DOB:9.04.2001) were not injured. Tony's vehicle sustained damage to the driver side but was still drivable. Both involved drivers had valid driver's licenses and vehicle insurance. 1 provided both drivers a copy of the SECTOR exchange of information form. This concludes my involvement in this case.
