NARRATIVE
On 11-10-2025 at approximately 2043 hours I was on routine patrol at Talbot Rd S and S Renton
Village PI in the City of Renton, County of King, State of Washington. I observed two Dodge
Challengers stopped at the above listed location.
One of the Challengers, unit#1, was stopped at the end of the off ramp just shy of turning north onto
Talbot Rd S. There was damage to the front end as well as airbag deployment to unit#1. The second
Challenger, unit#2, was stopped just north of the intersection facing north bound. Unit#2 had
damage to the passenger rear bumper. I requested Renton Fire Authority respond due to the airbag
deployment.
I observed two subjects on the sidewalk. A male subject, identified by his Louisiana ID card as Calvin
V. Moody (DOB 02-12-1993), and a female subject, identified by her WADL as Gloria J. Dabairi (DOB
03-27-1999). Dabairi was the driver of unit #1 and Moody was the driver of unit#2.
1 spoke with Moody who advised about 45 seconds prior to my arrival he was stopped at the above
intersection waiting for traffic to clear before proceeding north onto Talbot Rd S. He said unit#1
struck him from behind. When asked if he was injured, Moody advised his back hurt.
A record check of Moody showed his license out of Louisiana to be suspended. Dispatch also found a
Washington DOL return for Moody which also showed him to be suspended/revoked 3rd degree.
Officer Petty spoke with Dabairi who advised she had just gotten her oil changed and noticed her light
come on in her vehicle. She noticed unit#2 ahead of her at the intersection and proceeded forward
as she thought unit#2 was moving forward. Unit#1 struck unit#2. Officer Petty advised Dabairi was
complaining of chest pain due to her seatbelt.
Neither driver was transported to the hospital.
Based on the above investigation I believed unit#1 to be the proximate cause of the collision. 1 cited
Dabairi for inattentive driving and requested it be court mailed to her. I also cited Moody for DWLS
3rd degree. This was due to his Washington DOL return showing suspended/revoked 3rd degree.
forwarded Moody's cite for prosecutor review.
Dabairi's vehicle was towed by Banker's Towing.
Moody advised Dabairi was his friend. Dabairi agreed to drive Moody's vehicle from the scene since
Moody did not have a valid license.
During this incident, 1 was equipped with a body-worn camera, which records both audio and video.
