25-9816 ACCBLK
On 11/12/2025 1 was working as a uniformed patrol officer and driving a marked patrol vehicle for the
City of Renton. At 0756 hours I was dispatched to a report of a non-injury, blocking collision just east
of the intersection at NE 3rd St and Bronson Way NE Renton/King/WA. A City of Renton employee
called to advise that two city owned vehicles had been involved in a collision and were blocking one
westbound lane.
I arrived on scene and located both vehicles blocking the #1 westbound lane, I confirmed there was
no injury and had both vehicles move to a nearby side street.
The driver of the 2023 Ford F550 WA/XMT79942D (Unit 1) towing a 2017 GMST Trailmax
WA/XMT62403D was identified by his WADL as Parris L Bland DOB: 3/27/1976. Parris said that he
was driving west in the #1 lane, he said that he saw Unit 2 stopped for the light and attempted to stop.
He said that he began to skid and then tried to put the wheels against the curb to slow down and was
unsuccessful. Unit 1 collided with the rear bumper and trailer hitch of Unit 2.
There was damage to the front bumper and grill of Unit 1, there was no airbag deployment inside Unit
1, and it was drivable. The passenger, Kyle E Kessler DOB: 1/30/1986 was not injured. Unit 1 was
towing a flatbed trailer with an excavator attached. It was properly strapped down and did not appear
to have sustained any damage or shifted during the collision.
The roadway was wet and it was slightly raining at the time of the collision, this portion of westbound
NE 3rd St is downhill with a slight curve.
The driver of the 2012 Ford F550 WA/XMT54078D (Unit 2), was identified by his WADL as Bradley D
Jones DOB: 9/5/969. Bradley said that he was stopped for the red light in lane #1 when Unit 1
collided with him. There was no airbag deployment inside Unit 2 and there was minor damage to the
trailer hitch and a footstep on the passenger side of the bumper. Unit 2 was drivable.
Neither Bradley nor his passenger, David W Whitmarsh DOB: 5/13/1982, reported any injuries.
I took photographs of both vehicles and uploaded them to Axon Evidence.
Both vehicles are owned and maintained by the City of Renton and have fleet coverage.
I provided both parties with an exchange of information form.
Nothing further.
