I found that the present utility contractor working on the pro)e�t for Metro has extended the new 12 inch water main to the point shown in red on the attached plan. This puts the end of the water main three or four feet past the edge of the new asphalt being installed for the extension of S.W. 7th Street (see attached Plan) . I also found that there is a large drainage swale in the north side of the existing 60 inch storm drain line. If the water main was extended over thn top of the existing 60 inch line the end of the main would stick out into mid-air unless extc,sive filling was done. Since tho and of the :2 inch water main has been installed past the edge of the asphalt and there is the problem of the drainage swale on the north side of 00 60 inch storm drain pipe, we would like to recommend that this crossing be made when Natches Avnnu, S,W, is constructed.
