Dear Mr. Christianson:
This is to confirm your informal proposal to the City for the following:
A. BASE BID
For the furnishing of materials, installation, testing, asphalt
restoration, tie-ins, and all other other necessary work needed
to make a complete water main installation as shown on W-674 for
the lump sum of Nine Thousand Nine Hundred and Sevent Six and
2 ax00 Dollars ( 9 9 6.00 not including Washington State Sa es

B. TAX
The above figure does not include applicable taxes. Washington
State Sales Tax will be added to the final contract price.
C. OVERHEAD AND PROFIT
The above lump sun bid includes overhead, profit, and all other
expenses involved.
D. PERFORMANCE BOND
Upon acceptance of this agreement and receipt of the purchase requisi-
tion, the undersigned agrees that he will deliver a performance bond
as specified with good and sufficient surety or sureties all within
ten (10) days after receipt of the purchase requisition.

E. PUBLIC LIABILITY AND PROPERTY DAMAGE INSURANCE
The Contractor shall obtain and keep to force during the term
of the contract public liability and property damage insurance
in companies and in form to be approved by the City. Said insur-
ance shall provide coverage to the Contractor, any subcontractor
performing work provided by this contract, and the City. The
City shall be named as an additional insured on said policy inso-
far as the work and obligations performed under the contract are
concerned. The coverage so provided shall protect against claims
for personal injuries, including accidental death, as well as
claims for property damages which may arise from any act or
omission of the Contractor, or the subcontractor , or by anyone
directly or indirectly employed by either of them.
The minimum policy limits of such insurance shall be as follows:
Bodily injury liability coverage with limits of not less than
E100,000 for bodily injury, including accidental death, to any
one person, and subject to that limit for each person, 1n an
amount not less than $300.000 for each accident: and property
damage coverage in an amount of not less than $50,000 for each
accident.
A copy of the insurance policy, together with a copy of the
endorsement naming the City as an additional insured, shall be
provided to the City within a reasonable time after receiving
notice of award of contract.
F. DATE OF COMMENCEMENT AND COMPLETION
Work shall commence within five (5) wo,H ng days of date of notice
to proceed.
Work shall be completed within forty-five (45) working days there-
after. The working days shall be Monday through Friday.
G. HOURS.OF WORK
The working hours for this project shall be during the period from
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
H. UTILITIES
It shall be the Contractor's responsibility to coordinate with the
Airport with regards to its underground utilities and any other
utility that may be in the area where a conflict may exist.
I. SITE
The Contractor shall be responsible for leaving each ! ite neat,
clean, and in such condition as is considered safe by the project
manager.

J. CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS
The Contractor shall submit as-constructed drawings upon completion
of the projact. All materials shall be per Renton Specifications.
K. GUARANTEE
It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to guarantee the
equipment and system operation for a one-year period from the date
of final acceptance by the City.

No hereby propose to furnish the following labor and materiels necessary to the completion of the above described project.
NOTE: The above underground utility prices are based on the following
conditions:
1 Uaing on site native material for utility trench backfill
(if suitable). Any pit run, crushed rock or any other mat-
erial required for utility trench foundation and/or fill and
backfill material will be delivered by Pitardi on additional
cost.
2 Sidewalk, curb and gutter repairs are not included
3-Disposal of any excess and/or unsuitable material resulted
from utility trenches or any other operation will be extra.
Also, any imported fill material required will be additional.
4 Based on information given on prelimary drawing F.y Triad
Associates dated 1-21-82.
5 210 L.Ft. of 36" storm pipe (between CB i3 and rip rap) will
be installed after the placement of pit run (fill material) in
parking and proposed future building area.
6 Any material (crushed rock, etc.) and/or work required for
constructing excess road for equipment and trucks will be
additional.

The Contractor shall obtain and keep in force during the term
of the contract public liability and property damage insurance
in companies and in form to be approved by the City. Said insur-
ance shall provide coverage to the Contractor, any subcontractor
performing work provided by this contract, and the City. The
City shall be named as an additional insured on said policy inso-
far as the work and obligations performed under the contract are
concerned. The coverage so provided shall protect against claims
for personal injuries, including accidental death, as well as
claims for property damages which may arise from any act or
omission of the Contractor, or the subcontractor, or by anyone
directly or indirectly employed by either of them.
The minimum policy limits of such insurance shall be as follows:
Bodily injury liability coverage with limits of not less than
$100,000 for bodily injury, including accidental death, to any
o.ie person, and subject to that limit for each person, in an
amount not less than $300,000 for each accident, and property
damage coverage in an amount of not less than $50,000 for each
accident.
A copy of the insurance policy, together with a copy of the
endorsemeit naming the City as an additional insured, shall be
provided to the City within a reasonable time after receiving
notice of award of contract.
F. DATE OF COMMENCEMENT AND COMPLETION
Work shall commence within five (5) working days of date of notice
to proceed.
Work shall be completed within forty-five (45) working days there-
after. The working days shall be Monday through Friday.
G. HOURS OF WORK
The working hours for this project shall be during the period from
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
H. UTILITIES
It shall be the Contractor's responsibility to coordinate with the
Airport with regards to its underground utilities and any other
utility that may be in the area where a conflict may exist.
1. SITE
The Contractor shall be responsible for leaving each site neat,
clean, and in such condition as is considered safe by the project
manager.

J. CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS
The Contractor shall submit as-constructed drawings upon completion
of the project. All materials shall be per Renton Specifications.
K. GUARANTEE
It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to guarantee the
equipment and system operation for a one-year period from the date
of final acceptance by the City.
