To make application for this Permit will require the addition of a profile drawing to the plan and the addition of our three pipelines to the plan view. The profile shall show the existing street elevation, the elevation of the proposed watermain and the elevation of our three Cedar River pipelines. The engineer for this job should contact our Transmission Supervisor, Reed Simms, at 255-2242 to arrange for our crews to excavate the three pipelines so that the engineer can determine these elevations. In accordance with Insurance Services Office criteria, the analyses were simulated based on the water system experiencing a maximum day water demand with supply being provided from the Seattle Water Department's Cedar River pipeline at 84th Avenue South and South 134th Street. Under existing system conditions, results of the first analysis indicate that the fire flow capability at the proposed development is approximately 2,130 gpm at a residual pressure of 60 psi. It was determined that a substantial increase in the fire flow taxability could be obtained by parallelling the existing 6-inch watermain along Hardie Avenue SW from SW Langston Road to SW Second Street with a 12-inch waterline. Results of this analysis indicate that a fire flow capability of 2,740 gpm at a residual pressure of 60 psi would be available at the proposed development. It is important to note that the stated fire flow capacities are at a pressure residual of 60 psi in the wetermain at the proposed development. At a 20 psi pressure residual, it is physically possible to obtain a fire flow capacity in excess of 3,000 gpm with the proposed water system improvement. However, at this pressure, water customers on Seneca Avenue NW and NW Fourth Place would experience low water pressure (less than 20 psi) and could possibly be without service. Langston Road to S.W. 2nd St." by City of Renton. Twelve inches minimum vertical clearance to be maintained from City of Seattle's pipelines. SUBJECT to City of Seattle ordinances and regulations and to the following terms and stipulations: 1. The City of Seattle to be saved harmless from any and all damages which may accrue to any persons or property by reason of this installation or use, or the mainte- nance or operation thereof. Work to be prosecuted with diligence, and with due respect to all property, contracts, persons, rights and the interests and convenience of the public. Permittee agrees to restore the premises to the condition found, or Netter. If costs to the City of Seattle in conjunction with this permit exceed the permit fee, Permittee agrees, upon being billed, to pay such costs. 2. Permittee agrees upon being billed therefor to pay for any increase in the City's cost of installing, replacing or repairing the City's pipelines or other City improve- ments resulting from the existence of Permittee's installation 6. Permittee agrees to pay to the City the cost of repair of any of the City's faci- lities damaged by the installation, operation or maintenance of Permittee's installation 7. Permittee agrees that the City shall not be liable for any damage to said installation by reason of any construction, alteration or improvement y t e ity, its agents or representatives, except where such damage is caused by the City's gross or willful negligence. B. Toe City reserves the right to institute an annual fee for this permit. 9. This permit is revocable upon thirty days notice by the Superintendent of Water. 10. This permit is not transferrable. 11. One copy of this permit must be on-site during installation by Permittee or Permittee's agent. 12.
