E. 4th and Union Renton, Washington Dear Chuck: I am enclosing a copy of our fire flow test data sheet and graph covering the test near the proposed fire protection water service for this store. Results were excellent, with static pressure of 67 psi and a flow of 2622 qpm (rounded to 2600) at 54 psi residual pressure. These figures should be included in your bidding documents addendum, as they are important to the sprinkler contractors in their hydraulic calculations. Assisting with the test from the City of Renton were Bill Culberg, Inspector for the City Water Department, Jim Gray and Ed Wooten of the Fire Marshal's office. Mr. Culberg indicated that their review of the practical sources of non-potable water in the area indicated no significant exposure. Therefor the water service for fire pro- tection could be installed with a single detector check valve assembly rather than the double check he had previously mentioned.
